UBC School of Music produces graduates who work in all aspects of the music industry. They are winning prizes and earning distinctions, from Grammy Awards to the Order of Canada.
Our alumni include high-profile artists such as opera star Ben Heppner, composer Jocelyn Morlock, cellist Cris Derksen, and choral artist and conductor Hussein Janmohamed. They’re forging careers as professional musicians with symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, opera companies and soloists. They’re singing starring roles at the world’s great opera houses. They’re recording, producing, and broadcasting award-winning music. They’re using their music education to advocate for social causes and build community. And they’re teaching in classrooms, both public and private, across the globe.
