Their courses—distinct at the UBC School of Music for their interdisciplinary approach—brought together students from Music, Arts, Science and Engineering to explore the intersection of organized sound and technology. Being a member of the UBC Bands community has allowed me to connect with guest artists from around the world, cultivate my influence as a female leader on the podium, and to be a part of a collaborative community of both students and professors. Supporting the UBC Bands means investing in a program that is leading the charge in diversifying repertoire, and empowering students.

Chamber Music Series Fund

This new Chamber Music series will empower music students to explore new ideas, collaborate with multi-disciplinary artists, enrich their education, and strengthen the musical community at UBC and beyond.  This fund fosters and encourages a diverse musical community, where students can learn, create and share their work with audiences across UBC and far beyond campus.

UBC School of Music encouraged me to pursue my career as an orchestral musician through its intensive orchestral and chamber programs. I enjoyed my experience as a cello major, receiving opportunities to perform in orchestral concerts and network opportunities with professionals in the music industry. The professors in the string and orchestra programs were encouraging and supportive.
