Orchestral Activities and Associate Professor, Conducting and Ensembles

Two Fellows are chosen each year by Tanglewood to conduct both orchestra and smaller ensembles. Conducting Fellows have significant involvement in their Festival of Contemporary Music, often giving the world premieres of commissioned works. Armand will also have an opportunity to conduct the Boston Symphony Orchestra as part of this fellowship.

Armand Birk is currently in our Masters of Music in Conducting program, studying with Professor Jonathan Girard.

Congratulations, Armand!
