Woodwind enthusiasts from advanced beginner to professional level are invited to join us at WindFest!
WindFest is a day of workshops, masterclasses and performances by UBC Woodwind Faculty and students with special guests, flutist Dr. Mark Takeshi McGregor, and the Tempest Flute Ensemble. Also featuring a Woodwind Marketplace with instruments and accessories from Kimberley Jurens Woodwinds.

UBC Faculty & Student Showcase | 2pm, Barnett Hall
UBC Student Sax Quartet and UBC Clarinet Ensemble led by Jose Franch-Ballester, a Reed Choir led by Geronimo Mendoza, and a duo for flute and bassoon with Paolo Bortolussi flute and Ingrid Chiang bassoon.
Tempest Flutes | 4:30pm, Barnett Hall
Featuring their major commissioning project "Fibonacci's Dreamsong" and world premieres by Alexina Louie, Dorothy Chang, James Maxwell, Farshid Samandari, Mark Marinic and Ashley Seward.
