There were two opening days for the Old Auditorium in 1925, October 14 and 15.
Our 100th Anniversary Celebration on October 14 will recognize the first official opening day of the Old Auditorium, complete with anniversary cake and refreshments! You will hear a bit of the history of the Old Auditorium, fun stories, a lot of music, laughter and excerpts from the shows presented at the Old Auditorium from 1925 to 2025. You will hear from performers, production staff, directors, conductors, coaches and many of the people who called and still call the Old Auditorium their home. The UBC Opera Ensemble will also be joined by many Alumni from the Opera Program. We welcome them back to where it all began!
Bundle both events together to save! Attend both celebrations on Oct 14 & the The True North Strong and Free on Oct 15 and receive a total discount of $10. Tickets range from $20–$35 ea.

General subscription sales: Tue, August 19 at 11am.
Single ticket sales: Tue, September 2 at 11am.
Subscribers will receive first access to all UBC Opera events including those in collaboration with Opera West. At the time of subscription purchase you will be able to purchase tickets to all events in our 2025/2026 Season.
