Come sing with us at UBC!

University of British Columbia, Old Auditorium
Join UBC Faculty and industry professionals such as Judith Forst, Nancy Hermiston, Dale Throness, Krisztina Szabo and more for two weeks at the beautiful UBC campus in Vancouver, Canada.
During the Summer Vocal Workshop, participants will:
- Be cast in fully staged opera or musical theatre scenes
- Prepare a solo recital for the end of week one
- Warm up with a “sing in” on the first day
- Receive private voice lessons and coachings
- Participate in masterclasses
- Receive group instruction in dance, acting, movement & diction
- Attend open table discussions on subjects like university, life as a professional musician, building websites, resumes, social media and many more!
- Sing in a large ensemble number will all workshop participants, as part of the final performance
The UBC Summer Vocal Workshop is open to students and young professionals age 13-35yrs old.
Day participants – $1,700 for the two week workshop
Overnight participants – $2,800 (includes accommodation and meals for two weeks)

Coming from out of town? No problem! We are happy to provide accommodation in one of the university dorms for the duration of the summer vocal workshop. Vanier Residence is just a 5min walk away from the School of Music. Overnight participants will have breakfast and dinner supplied by the dorm cafeteria.
