The UBC Concert Competition is held every year at Barnett Hall in the UBC Music Building. The winner is invited to perform their winning piece with the UBC Symphony Orchestra and Jonathan Girard, conductor at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts. This is a fabulous opportunity for these students to perform as a soloist with our fantastic orchestra. We are continually impressed by the excellence of these competitors.

We would like to thank our judges Joan Blackman, George Laverock, and William Rowson for their time and expertise.
