Cristina Pato is a musical force to be reckoned with. A master of the gaita (Galician bagpipes), her sophisticated sound skirts the boundaries of jazz, classical, folk, and world music.

Kudos and Concert

Composer, bandleader and conductor Jaelem Bhate (BMus’17, MMus student) has released his debut album, On the Edge, featuring his original works for jazz orchestra. Produced by UBC Music faculty Fred Stride, the recording showcases local greats from the Vancouver jazz scene, including several UBC Music students, alumni and faculty. Listen here
