Composer Residency with Dewa Alit
Internationally acclaimed for his brilliant innovations to the Gamelan tradition, composer Dewa Alit showcases his works (including new compositions for Western instruments) in a 10-day residency at UBC, including an open rehearsal, a colloquium, and a concert at Western Front.

A constellation of interdisciplinary conversations and concerts with UBC Music ensembles, faculty, students, alumni, and guest speakers. Join us for a festival of big ideas and great performances and discover the backstage secrets of chamber music negotiation and collaboration. Speakers include musicians, scholars, scientists, community social justice activists, sustainability activists, international peace-builders, and more. Every talk is partnered with a musical work, and there are five full concerts with all kinds of ensembles.
