Exploring Musical Time: Microtiming and Musical Motion

This symposium explores aspects of musical motion arising from small-scale rhythmic patterns that can be measured in milliseconds. Topics include groove and flow in popular music, new technologies for the analysis of musical performance, and compositional applications of these technologies.
