On the Horizon...
Wed May 24
The Baccalaureate Concert is an annual event that occurs the evening of the first day of the Spring Congregation Ceremonies. It is a free concert in honour of our graduating students and features outstanding young artists from the UBC School of Music. This year the evening will include a special performance by Professor Santa J. Ono cello with students Edmund Chung violin and Irene Setiawan piano.

George Laverock (BMus’66) has just received the BC Community Achievement Award and the inaugural 2017 Mitchell Leadership Award. Laverock was cited for a vision of Vancouver as a creative centre for world-class music that has driven a remarkable commitment to community involvement: "George has made a lasting difference through his accomplishments in public broadcasting, arts administration and non-profit governance while mentoring the next generation of musicians.” Read more...
