Kevin Zakresky (BMus‘04, MMus‘06)  leads the Vancouver Chamber Choir in a banquet of seasonal music, with a cameo appearance from Fiona Blackburn and the British Columbia Girls Choir. The concert includes Stephen Chatman‘s A Christmas Lullaby and Angels We Have Heard on High , as well as works by Jon Washburn, Jean Coulthard, Healey Willan, Kevin Zakresky, and many more.

Pacific Baroque Orchestra
Festive Cantatas – J.S. Bach Magnificat
Alexander Weimann leads five internationally renowned soloists, a full baroque orchestra, 3 trumpets, and timpani in a performance of the original version of J.S. Bach’s Magnificat in E flat major. Written for Christmas Vespers in 1723, this version includes four rarely heard and delightful inserts that illuminate the Nativity story. Join us for a fascinating new slant on a familiar masterpiece. The programme also includes Telemann’s Concerto for Three Trumpets in D major (TWV 54) and Bach’s beloved Cantata 140 (“Wachet auf”).
