Based on a Russian folk tale, L’Histoire du soldat tells the story of Joseph, a soldier who trades his fiddle to the devil in exchange for infinite riches and glory. This production features projections of animated artwork created by Clive Hicks-Jenkins and the wild, gorgeous music such as only Stravinsky could write and is led by conductor Robert Taylor and performed by a septet of faculty and guest musicians.

The Soldier's Tale: Artwork by Clive Hicks-Jenkins, originally created for a performance of Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale for the Mid Wales Chamber Orchestra in 2013.
