Congratulations to everyone who participated in the inaugural Silverman Piano Concerto Competition! Friday, March 2nd was a wonderful evening of piano concertos performed by UBC Music students to a large enthusiastic audience in the Roy Barnett Recital Hall at UBC.

Grand Prize Winner: Benjamin Hopkins
2nd Prize: Evgenia Rabinovich
3rd Prize: Ayunia Saputro
4th Prize: Aydan Con

Prize winners will perform with the UBC Symphony Orchestra on September 23rd, 2018 at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts. Grand Prize Winner Benjamin Hopkins will perform his winning interpretation of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4, while the other prize winners will have the opportunity to play at least one movement of their concerto with the orchestra.
